Like Trinity, Victoria Leeds is now one of the best-known retail hubs in the city centre. John Lewis became the flagship store for Victoria Leeds (encompassing Victoria Gate and Victoria Quarter) in 2016. It sits alongside brands like All Saints, Aspinal of London, COS, REISS, Ted Baker, Oliver Sweeney and more. This stylish store serves as an independent bookshop and stationers, specialising in art and design journals, artwork, and gifts for the creative. This Victorian arcade is three storeys high with an intricate glass roof. Opened 1822 and the founding location of M&S, the market is home to over 800 stalls. Incredibly, the Market attracts over 100,000 visitors each week. Known for bargain hunting, food and drink, and its splendid architecture, Kirkgate now has a flexible events space and offers a range of quality street-food.
