I like to find new restaurants to eat, and Leeds is great for this, my favourite is V&V by Jono who I would highly recommend, with my favourite dish the Mushroom Tiramisu made famous by being on Masterchef when Jono tackled the hit TV show in 2020.
Mr Mackeral

My go-to lunch spot is Mr Mackerel in the market, where they serve mouthwatering chicken sandwiches and a fantastic Turkish lentil soup. It’s the perfect place for a quick, delicious, and satisfying meal. The food hall in the market is a thing of beauty with new openings almost weekly a the moment, so always something different to try.
River Aire

And on the days Leeds gets too hectic, I like to take a stroll on the river, where there has been a lot of regeneration works, there are lots of little green areas to sit and relax before going back to the madness, I get on the canal by Asda House, and re enter the centre from behind the train station

I have always loved travelling the world, initially with my parents from a young age and more recently with my husband. My love of travel started when I lived in South Africa & New Zealand where I moved to for my parents work, I loved flying and seeing new places and continue to do so today. My favourite destinations are Croatia that has the most beautiful sunsets, Jamaica for the Jerk Chicken and culture, and Italy for the food and sightseeing, and of course the wine! I like to think my love and knowledge helps our customers fulfil their dreams.
Returning to work in Leeds City Centre has been fantastic, there is always something going on event wise and new business opening, always an exciting buzz, and to see the great work LeedsBID are doing in the city is fantastic, from the cleaning teams, to the recent Monopoly Leeds takeover, and each year I look forward to Light Night.
