White Cloth Hall is launching its first ever supper club and it sounds very good
Chapter 81
If your ideal midweek plan involves six courses, seasonal produce and a seriously good setting, White Cloth Hall has something new for your diary.
The Leeds food and drink hall is launching a brand new monthly Supper Club, with the very first event taking place on Wednesday 1 April 2026, and it is kicking things off with Lupton’s Chop House.
For the first edition, Head Chef Christian Burnell will be serving up a six-course tasting menu that brings together bold British flavours, fresh seafood and live fire cooking influences. It is a chance to try something a little different from the usual menu, with dishes created specially for this one-off evening.
Christian has previously worked in Michelin-starred restaurants across London and the South West, and says the menu is inspired by those experiences. Expect comforting dishes with a creative twist, all given the Lupton’s treatment.
On the menu, think oyster with beef fat hollandaise and pickled walnut, asparagus with duck egg and truffle, halibut with buttermilk and lovage, and pork belly with cockles and apple, before finishing with rhubarb, prosecco and vanilla for dessert. Basically, this is not your average Wednesday night dinner.
The supper club runs from 7pm and costs £65 per person, with optional drink pairings available on the night. Seats are limited, so this is very much one to book early.
And this is not just a one off. The Supper Club will now take place on the first Wednesday of every month, with each event putting the spotlight on one of White Cloth Hall’s resident kitchens and giving them the chance to show off a different side to their cooking.
Future events are already lined up too, including the return of MorMor in May and Venetian-inspired dining from Morty’s in June.
Speaking about the launch, White Cloth Hall co-owner Ed Mason said the new series is all about celebrating the venue’s brilliant independent kitchens and giving diners something special alongside its regular events programme.
Set inside one of Leeds’ most beautiful historic buildings, White Cloth Hall has quickly become one of the city centre’s go-to food spots since opening in 2024. Run by the team behind Whitelock’s Ale House, it also picked up Best Newcomer at the Oliver Awards 2025.
