Christmas Market at Leeds Corn Exchange

Rolling Social Events, brains behind the legendary Leeds Rum Fest,  Leeds Whisky Fest, and most recently Leeds Tequila Fest are returning to Leeds Corn Exchange for the 2022 Christmas Market. 

The Christmas Market will take over the Corn Exchange floor from Friday 11th November with masterclasses, bars and games set to raise the roof in true festive style for six weeks. An incredible feast of rotating food and drink will also reside in the lower ground level of Leeds most iconic building. 

The space will seat around 200 people, with 2 experience spaces, a main bar area, food traders, Christmas stalls from Mahogany Market and Indie Makers market plus all the amazing retail already in Leeds Corn Exchange. Head to the festive bar for salted caramel espresso martinis, hot toddies plus a selection of draft from Camden Town Brewery. Get into the Christmas spirit with live music from local artists.

For 2022 they have paired up with local favourites Dijon boys and Latitude Wines. Dijon Boys will be providing an alternative Christmas menu, inspired by festive classics. Think braised ox cheek stew with polenta mash and braised red cabbage, embutido stuffing sandwiches with sauerkraut and gravy, and harissa spiced winter veg pastilla.

Winter Village at Chow Down

Chow Down Winter Village is back for 2022. Eight weeks of festive fun begins on 10 Nov with a wonderland of food, drink and entertainment to keep the party going right up to New Years Eve. Entry is free with tables bookable in advance. Some events will be ticketed. For full details see here. 

As the nights draw in, what better way to spend an evening than cosying up by the fire pit in the Christmas Tipi with a boozy hot chocolate in hand. There’ll be fire pits, heaters and winter snugs to ward off the chill plus a festive bar menu including mulled wine, craft beers, mulled cider and cocktails. 

The Winter Village promises a host of Apres Ski Nights, Winter themed Drag Brunches, Bingo Lingo and will screen the World Cup Football matches. The cosy Christmas Tipis, Winter Gardens and Alpine Corner are back along with some new additions. Following on from a successful launch last year, 2022 is set to be even bigger.

Go for gold and head over to the lanes to challenge your friends and family to a game of curling or head to the Ciroc Winter Chalet for Tipple cocktails against a backdrop of Alpine cosiness. Brand new for 2022 is the Hutte Bavarian Beer Hall – the perfect place for a stein which will also play host to the FIFA World Cup Screenings. The brand new Bavarian beer hall will play host to the football screenings, showing all England and Wales games in action then every game from the Quarter final onwards. Expect Huge screen and sound system, steins and beer selection, street food, heaters, table service and pre-match anthems. 

Over the eight weeks, Winter Village will welcome headline DJs Fat Tony, Norman Jay MBE, The Cuban Brothers and DJ Spoony.

This season’s collection brings you the flavours of Autumn. Exquisite dishes including the slow roasted lamb belly with black garlic and mint brioche bun; the aged beef with pickles, truffle mayonnaise and rye  plus the artichoke and white miso ice cream with malt and lemon verbena will be making an appearance on the menus over the coming weeks ahead. 

They have also introduced some new enhanced tasting experiences with upgrades such as extended tasting dishes, Prestige wine flight and Kitchen Table – dine right next to the action in front of the chef team.
