The Ticket Stub – November 2025 best gigs
Ruth Kilpatrick
Are we all surviving? If you’re one of the few yet to succumb to a classic November flu then a) congratulations and b) what’s your secret?? Please let us know. For the non-snotty amongst you, we’ve selected our top ten gigs of the month, all info and ticket links below.
Tuesday 4th November
We were lucky enough to be at the Mercury Prize last month, and not only was it wonderful to see it housed in the North East, but a pleasure to witness the selected performances too. If you were there, or if you watched along, you’ll have seen Emma-Jean Thackray, nominated for their record Weirdo. They’ll be at Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen on Tuesday the 4th, tickets via Dice.
Thursday 6th November
Want it louder? Get yourself to Wharf Chambers for Atlanta’s own UPCHUCK. We’ve caught them three times in the last 18 months and they’re so. much. fun. They signed to Domino Records last year, announced tour dates all over the world, and released this brand new LP. Grab a ticket, wear trainers, get rowdy.
Saturday 8th November
Fresh from being the musical guest on SNL with his viral hit Sally (When The Wine Runs Out), or from two regularly interacting TikTok accounts if you’re more #chronicallyonline, Role Model is in the UK for the second leg of his world tour, hitting London, Manchester and Leeds. Officially sold out but there’s a wait list for the O2 Academy here, and be sure to check Dice.
Sunday 9th November
Given we’re such a longtime fan of the inimitable Mike Hadreas, aka the one and only Perfume Genius, we can think of no better way to spend a Sunday night. If you’re new to their work then we’re envious as hell, imagine hearing HOOD for the first time again? Same sentiment for every album since. Check out the latest LP (and the incredible artwork) here, and grab a ticket for Project House if you can. See this and you’ll feel reborn come Monday.
Friday 14th November
Actual Bob Dylan is back on tour, hitting Leeds First Direct Arena on Friday the 14th. As its Ticketmaster, you’ll find three different ticket prices and packages via their site, the lowest priced are yet to sell out, but we imagine that will change post payday. Tickets here.
Switching it up from (also) playing massive arenas supporting US sisters HAIM, Nell Mescal is stopping at Brudenell Social Club on her UK tour. Nell has seemed extremely at home on stage since day one and only continues to excel, with an ever-growing fanbase too – make sure you catch her. Tickets via the Brude.
Live at Leeds in the City
CMAT returns to Leeds
Emma-Jean Thackray plays Belgrave
Saturday 15th November
Live at Leeds is back! Now in its 18th year, you’ve got 150 artists playing across 20 different venues, all on one day. There’s the usual mix of major label new signings, plus unsigned and those on indies – we’ll be heading to a good mix of all of the above. They’ve released a clashfinder via the LAL homepage, you can buy tickets here, and don’t forget there are student discounts too, just bring your ID. We used to love covering this festival as it’s so easy to get around, there’s always something brand new to see, and of course, not to be a cliche, but northerners are just far more friendly. Guaranteed good fun.
Monday 17th November
What can we say about CMAT that hasn’t already been said? Another Mercury-nominated act in the city, touring the rescheduled Euro-Country dates. If you’re yet to see her live you’re in for a real treat. This will very quickly sell back out, but at the time of typing there are still some standing tickets, and a few seated tickets for the O2 Academy available here. Fun fact, her album was produced by Oli Deakins (a former Leeds music maker).
Thursday 20th November
Do you love heartbreaking metaphors? Super sad storytelling? Communicating only in a minor key? Thursday at Project House has the perfect show for you – Matt Maltese is back on tour and has Katie Gregson-Macleod with him too. Get down early please – tickets here.
Sunday 23rd November
And finally, Brooklyn quartet Model/Actriz have been through a transformation of sorts, from 2023’s Dogsbody to this year’s Pirouette, the follow up is a little brighter, more direct, but still born of a certain darkness. Make sure you get a ticket for the Brudenell Social Club show, and get there early for Mun Sing in support.
