Chapter 81

Leeds-based kebab pioneers SQEW have been crowned the winners of Deliveroo’s Best Kebab of 2025, a national award fronted by darts sensation Luke Littler and voted for by Deliveroo customers across the UK.

Known for reinventing the humble kebab with bold flavours, top-quality ingredients, and a street food edge, SQEW beat stiff competition to take home the coveted golden trophy in this year’s awards, a celebration of the UK’s kebab obsession.

Founder Mitch Renshaw said:

“Me and the whole team are thrilled to bits. It feels like the icing on the cake after a few award-filled years here at SQEW.
We started SQEW to give the kebab the love it deserves – made from scratch, done properly, and served with pride. To have that recognised by our customers and Deliveroo is honestly incredible. This golden kebab trophy is for you!”

The 2025 awards marked a fresh chapter with Littler bringing his energy to the table, spotlighting everything from late-night legends to innovative newcomers like SQEW. Winners were chosen based on customer votes and popularity on Deliveroo, highlighting the UK’s most loved takeaways.

This award marks another major milestone for SQEW – proof that when you do kebabs right, they really can be golden.
