What happens when you borrow a Rhodes Piano and put four new musical acts on it—some for the first time? We did just that at the back end of 2024, and the results are in.

Each session features a stripped-back performance, letting raw vocals and the unmistakable warmth of the Rhodes take centre stage. After their performance, the artists sit down for a chat about the experience, their music, and what’s next.

Claudia Fenoglio

Leeds-based singer-songwriter Claudia Fenoglio crafts intimate yet otherworldly indie-pop, drawing inspiration from artists like Julia Jacklin, Phoebe Bridgers, and Samia. Her debut EP, What If I’m Here Forever?, caught the attention of BBC Radio 6, Wonderland, and Clash Magazine, earning her a nomination for a Youth Music Award. With her signature heartfelt lyricism and ethereal sound, Claudia is now gearing up to release her highly anticipated second EP under EMI North/Launchpad in 2025.

Spielmann

After years of shaping Leeds’ music scene as a songwriter, producer, DJ, and promoter, Spielmann has stepped into the spotlight with his own project. Blending synths, drum machines, and arpeggiators with acoustic guitars and soaring vocal harmonies, his music tells stories that blur the line between autobiography and fiction. “Some of it’s me—I’m in there somewhere,” he says, “but I’m really not that interesting.” His latest work channels this mix of introspection and grandeur, bringing a fresh energy to his ever-evolving sound.

Midnite Pharmacy

A live electronic act born in Leeds, Midnite Pharmacy is the duo of Liam Jones and Si Martin, merging elements of electronic, indie, house, and techno. Performing as a two-piece, they seamlessly switch between instruments and sequencing to create an immersive, dynamic experience. 2025 will mark the release of their first EP on their own label, GRVTYWVS, further carving out their space in the electronic music scene.
