Private Parts – brand new exhibition at Thackray

Why are we all ashamed to talk about our private parts? Thackray Museum of Medicine’s newest exhibition, Private Parts, is a comprehensive investigation of intimate healthcare that honours people’s unique experiences with wellness, self-definition, and sensual satisfaction.

A safe haven for adults to discuss sensitive topics. Personal stories, ranging from titillating to explicit, are examined in this show, which is suitable for people 16 and up.

Discussing three themes, Health, Identity, and Pleasure, the exhibition uses personal stories from a range of co-producers to help shape the space. We think this is one of the best exhibitions we have seen dealing with such taboo subjects. We love it.

Private Parts runs until 11 th May  2023 and is available to see with a museum ticket
