Ah, Christmas. A time for family. Spending day after day with your nearest and dearest. Or, if you’re Rob Beckett, wantonly abandoning his wife and children to “enjoy lie-ins and hotel buffet breakfasts”. Catch the TV and radio star on his world tour at Leeds Grand Theatre on the 1st of December.
Also at the Grand this month, BAFTA nominee Lucy Beaumont (12th December) and Leeds’ own Leigh Francis talks through his incredible career (so far) and celebrates his autobiography Leigh, Myself and I on the 14th December.
Elsewhere, the amazing Maisie Adam returns to Leeds, this time at the Brudenell Social Club on the 18th December. She’ll be supported by the awesome Micky P Kerr, who recently supported Jason Manford at the first direct Arena.
The Wardrobe has two great shows on one night. Our lead image, The Indians Are Coming (Tommy Sandhu, Sinthujha Kumarasamy, Raj Poojara, Preet Singh) and a COBO Comedy Shutdown Special (with Richard Blackwood, Kazeem Jamal, Aurie Styla, Joe Bingham) are both on the 8th of December.
Also at the Wardrobe this month: a Big Christmas Assembly with musical comedian James B Partridge on the 18th of December – and this year, the iconic New Year’s Eve comedy party features Justin Moorhouse, Peter Brush, Jack Gleadow & Barry Dodds.Enjoy the festival merriment – and, as ever, look out for regular comedy nights at Headrow House, The Original Oak, The Hi-Fi Club, The Old Woollen, and the Parkside Tavern.
