Conan Gray and Jacob Alon Announced as Special Guests for Lewis Capaldi at Roundhay Festival

As Roundhay Festival prepares for its very first season in summer 2026, two huge names have been confirmed to join Lewis Capaldi for his headline show at Roundhay Park. US pop star Conan Gray and BRITs Critics’ Choice winner Jacob Alon will both support Capaldi on Saturday 4 July 2026.

For a festival that has not even launched yet, that is a serious statement.

A Big First Chapter for Roundhay Festival

Roundhay Park is no stranger to landmark concerts. Over the years it has hosted legendary performances from The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Michael Jackson, U2 and Ed Sheeran. Now, with Roundhay Festival launching in collaboration with Leeds City Council and delivered by AEG Presents, the park is stepping confidently back into the spotlight.

And while Lewis Capaldi’s return to Leeds is headline-worthy on its own, the addition of Conan Gray and Jacob Alon makes this feel like one of the most exciting live line-ups of the summer.

Conan Gray Brings Global Pop to Leeds

Conan Gray arrives at Roundhay riding a huge wave of success.

His fourth studio album Wishbone, released last August, became his highest charting record yet, landing in the Top 3 of the Billboard 200. A record about falling in love for the first time, it has connected with fans across the world and powered a completely sold out tour.

Expect a set filled with emotional anthems and festival-ready moments, including tracks like Vodka Cranberry and This Song, alongside favourites such as Heather and Maniac. With his unmistakable style and raw honesty, Gray is set to bring serious pop energy to Roundhay Park.

Jacob Alon’s Meteoric Rise

Also joining the bill is Jacob Alon, one of the most talked-about new artists in the UK right now. Fresh from winning the BRIT Critics’ Choice Award, Alon has quickly become known for deeply introspective songwriting and a stunning falsetto. Their debut album In Limerence earned widespread praise and a Mercury Prize shortlist nod, marking them out as a major talent to watch.

Of course, this is all leading up to Lewis Capaldi’s headline set.

After releasing his EP Survive, with the title track becoming the fastest-selling UK single of 2025, Capaldi secured his sixth UK number one. A sold-out arena tour and glowing reviews have confirmed that he is firmly back and better than ever.

Bringing that voice and those singalong moments to a park with such a rich history of massive shows feels like the perfect way to launch Roundhay Festival’s first season.

A Huge Weekend for the City

Roundhay Festival will take over the park across the first weekend of July. The night before Capaldi’s show, global party icon Pitbull headlines on Friday 3 July, joined by Kesha. For Leeds, it marks the start of a new era of large-scale outdoor live music in one of Europe’s biggest city parks.
