🗞️ Live Laugh Leeds – Comedy this November
Reverend Richard Coles is in town. At the City Varieties to be precise. So there’s a decent chance he’ll have a drink in Sela, or Wax, or North.
So, um, yeah. A vicar walks into a bar.
Not just any old vicar of course. Surely Britain’s most famous. And definitely the only vicar who’s had a number one single, and been a Strictly contestant. His live show, on the 12th of November, is described as an ‘intimate evening with a national treasure’.
Less intimate, but surely just as treasurically-national, is Russell Howard. One of the world’s top comedians is at the Grand Theatre on the 5th of November. Expect comedy fireworks. Hahaha, megalolz.
And current star of Taskmaster, Lucy Beaumont, brings her show “The Trouble & Strife” to the City Varieties on the 7th of November. Don’t worry, Jon’s at home with the little one.
Elsewhere in Leeds this November, our picks are Sophie Duker (City Varieties, 2nd November), Rich Hall (City Varieties, 9th November), Michael McIntyre (Leeds Arena, 24th and 25th November), and Rich Wilson, Peter Brush, Ben Norris, Hayley Ellis, & Scott Bennett (Hi-Fi Club – various dates).
And a final tip: the hilarious Pierre Novellie brings his show ‘Why Can’t I Just Enjoy Things?’to the Hyde Park Book Club on the 1st of November.
And as ever, look out for regular comedy nights at the Hi-Fi Club, Headrow House, The Original Oak, The Old Woollen, and the Parkside Tavern.
