Wet and furious: Leeds Fest Day 3

Sunday came in under thunder, and from four o’clock the rain simply did not stop. Nobody left.

The day opened with Garage Flower flying the Leeds flag. Four lads who met at Leeds City College, on at half past twelve, filling The Ballroom at a time of day that does not usually generate that kind of noise. Bonehead put them on the map with an Instagram post during last year’s festival, which makes opening a stage here a full circle moment, and they played it like one.

JADE and sombr held The Grid through the worst of it, then RAYE turned an evening of standing water into something closer to a celebration than a wash-out. Dave closed the festival at twenty-five to ten, and the last hour of Leeds 2026 was wet and furious in the best way.

There was one ongoing sore point. The Warehouse, closed on Saturday, opened at early doors and then shut again, this time for the rest of the weekend. Silva Bumpa’s set went with it, with the festival app telling people to check for schedule updates, and Riordan and Rossi were moved over to LS23. Fans spent much of the afternoon calling for it to be reopened. One security guard told reporters, “I don’t think they can make it safe, there’s just too many people.”

Six new stages, one that could not cope, three days of weather doing whatever it liked, and a crowd that stayed to the last note anyway. That is Leeds. See you next year.
