Domo Comes to Leeds, Bringing Sardinian Soul Food to the South Bank

Award-winning Sardinian restaurant Domo is officially on its way to Leeds. The much-loved independent, founded in Sheffield, will open its first Leeds site at Tower Works on the South Bank, bringing a taste of Sardinian soul food to the city’s ever-evolving dining scene.

Set within a striking canal-side space, Domo Leeds will offer around 95 covers indoors alongside outdoor seating for a further 25. It’s designed to be an all-day destination, with a daily lunch menu and takeaway options for local workers and residents, weekend breakfasts, and a full evening menu rooted in rustic, authentic Sardinian cooking.

Founded by husband-and-wife team Sarah Elliott-Busceddu and Raffaele Busceddu, Domo is built on a deep respect for Sardinian food culture, with dishes rarely seen outside the island and everything made in-house. That same ethos will shape the Leeds restaurant, alongside interiors filled with bespoke Sardinian craftsmanship, artwork and personal touches that celebrate Raffaele’s heritage.

More Flavours Heading to Leeds

Elsewhere, Madre is expanding into Leeds, bringing its vibrant Mexican cooking from Manchester and Liverpool to Wellington Place. Alongside the main restaurant will be Salon Madre, a tequila bar and pool hall designed for relaxed dining and late nights alike.

Also on the horizon is Pollini, which is planning a second Leeds location following the success of its much-loved spot inside Kirkgate Market, adding even more Italian flavour to the city’s food map.

And out in Pudsey, Pino offers a slower-paced take on Italian lunching, serving gelato artigianale, pizza al taglio and Italian coffee, inspired by the idea of “la vita lenta” and taking time to enjoy the simple things done well.
