Chapter 81

Our recent visit to The Art of the Brick exhibition in Leeds was nothing short of magical. Staged at The Headrow (in the former Home Sense retail unit) and running until the end of October, this vibrant LEGO®‑sculpture spectacle by acclaimed artist Nathan Sawaya brings together over 70 large-scale works crafted from more than a million bricks.

Inside, visitors are whisked into a kaleidoscopic world where reinterpretations of iconic masterpieces—like Starry Night, The Scream, The Kiss, and Mona Lisa—sit alongside wondrous animal forms and playful installations. Beyond marveling at these creations, you can join in the fun too—whether it’s adding your own touch to the interactive LEGO® wall or sifting through a pool of bricks.  It’s a delight for all ages, a joyful invitation to see art, childhood, and creativity converge amid brilliant colour and imagination. It’s recommended that you book tickets in advance.
