Live Laugh Leeds: Comedy in June 2025
Larry Budd
My career, and thanks for asking, has been so successful that sometimes a comedy act comes to Leeds, and I think to myself “gosh, I used to work with them, and now look at how successful they are. Good job I’m not bitter about anything. Sob.” (Ed – please delete that “sob”. Ed says ‘no’)
Glenn Moore at The Wardrobe – 2nd June
Such emotions arise as I see Glenn Moore come to the Wardrobe on the 2nd of June. You’ve seen him on Live At The Apollo, Have I Got News For You, and Mock The Week. But you haven’t really seen Glenn until you’ve seen Glenn. Know what I mean? It’s a bit like that scene in White Men Can’t Jump when Wesley Snipes goes on about Jimi Hendrix. And yes, I’m comparing Glenn Moore to Jimi. Glenn’s a joke-writing genius. Trust me on this one. Oh and yes, we used to read the news together on local radio. True story. Glenn’s show is part of the Leeds Comedy Festival 2025, which runs throughout the month at The Wardrobe.
Leeds Comedy Festival Highlights at The Wardrobe
You should fest your eyes (AHAHAHA) on this brilliant comedy line-up:
• Seann Walsh – 4th June
• Vittorio Angelone – 9th June
• Jack Carroll – 10th June
• Jessica Fostekew – 11th June
And outside the festival, don’t miss Tim Key bringing his book tour to The Wardrobe on 23rd June.
Phew, The Wardrobe – leave some comedy for the rest of us!
