🤣 Live Laugh Leeds: Comedy in Feb 2025

If you’re like me: tired all the time, overworked, and wondering where the last twenty years went… then maybe you’re a dun-dun-dun… parent!

And for parents, sometimes, the thought of going out in the evening to see some high-quality comedy (highqualcom) is as attractive as Margaret Thatcher naked on a cold day (copyright: Mike Myers).

Well thank the lord for The Hifi Comedy Club – which has now added an extremely civilized Saturday afternoon performance to its excellent comedy schedule. 

Some of the best stand-up comedians in the UK will be on stage at Hifi earlier in the day – with Sam Picone, Alex Mitchell, and Louise Young among the performers this month. 

For our other top picks this month: 

The City Varieties welcomes 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown star David O’Doherty on the 2nd of February, leading political satirist Matt Forde on the 4th of February, and on the 19th of February it’s the amazing Sarah Keyworth, who you’ll recognise from Live at the Apollo. Jon Culshaw, Nina Conti, and Omid Djalili are also at the Varieties this month. 

The Brudenell Social Club has two great comedy shows for February: Winner of the 2023 Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show, Ahir Shah, is on the 5th of February, and Dan Nightingale’s “Have a Word” is on the 26th of February. 

My recommendations for the Hyde Park Book Club are Celya AB (9th February), Andrew Ryan (10th February), one half of the Delightful Sausage: Chris Cantrill (19th February), and Alexandra Haddow (26th February). 

The Wardrobe completes a bumper line-up this month, with visits from Geoff Norcott on the 20th of February, Alice Fraser on the 25th February, and Instagram star George Lewis has two nights (27th/28th February).As ever, look out for regular comedy nights at Headrow House, The Original Oak, The Hi-Fi Club, The Old Woollen, and the Parkside Tavern.
