🤣 Live Laugh Leeds: Comedy in November 2024
How offensive do you like your comedy?
Lucky for you, the whole spectrum is on show in Leeds this November, with two of the biggest names in stand up.
The wonderful, likeable, and multi-talented Jason Manford returns with a brand new live show: A Manford All Seasons. The TV and West End star is at the Leeds Arena on the 23rd of November.
But if Mr Manford’s brand of warm nostalgia isn’t for you, then a certain Jimmy Carr returns to the Leeds Grand Theatre on the 16th of November. The blurb says “some people are repelled by Jimmy’s dark brand of comedy. This show is not for them” – you have been warned.
Also at the Grand this month: TV and Off Menu podcast star Ed Gamble (12th November), comic whirlwind Russell Kane (3rd November), and Rhod Gilbert continues his much-welcomed return from serious illness with Rhod Gilbert and the Giant Grapefruit (10th November).
The City Varieties line-up is as varied and excellent as ever, with shows from Grace Campbell (7th November), Count Arthur Strong’s ‘A Christmas Carol’ (10th November), and Taskmaster star little Alex Horne brings the Horne Section’s Hit Show to life on the 11th November.
Our picks of the month at The Wardrobe include Colin Hoult (5th November). Best known for his award-winning character Anna Mann, the acclaimed performer heads out on tour as himself in a show cleverly-titled Colin. The multi-skilled Sooz Kempner reflects on the Class Of 2000 (15th November), and ten years since his first paid show here – Stephen Bailey returns to Leeds (25th November).
And a final shout for the Leeds Comedy Pick n Mix at the Carriageworks on Friday 22nd November – it’s a bi-monthly night of improvised comedy courtesy of Leeds’ very own award-winning improvised sketch group, The Discount Comedy Checkout.
As ever, look out for regular comedy nights at Headrow House, The Original Oak, The Hi-Fi Club, The Old Woollen, and the Parkside Tavern.
