Where to watch the Euros 2024 in Leeds

Words by
Vicky Zaremba & Chapter 81

Football is coming to Leeds this summer. You can catch all the UEFA Euro 2024 action, from the group stages to the final, without jetting over to the Olympiastadion––just head into the city. From fanatics to foodies, there’s a Euros venue for everyone. Here’s our roundup.

For fan zone vibes…

Millennium Square

For the official Euro 2024 Fanzone experience, head to Millennium Square to watch all of England’s group stage matches against Serbia, Denmark and Slovenia, as well as the knockout stages on the Leeds Big Screen.

Book £5 standing-only tickets in advance––there’s a licensed bar, street food caterers and toilet facilities on-site. You’ll catch other Euro 2024 matches on a non-designated basis, but only if they don’t clash with the city’s Summer Concert series. So, make sure to check before you travel. 14+ only.

TESTBED

Sporting events brand 4theFans is back, bringing all the Euros atmosphere at epic warehouse venue TESTBED on Hunslet Road. Enjoy all the biggest and best fixtures on a 35-foot wide, cinema-sized screen with super high-power 4K projection and a world-class sound system. Experience a jam-packed banter-filled program, football legend hosts, DJs, self-serve beer and screens in the toilets so you don’t miss a minute.

Former Leeds right-back Danny Mills is the England vs Serbia guest legend (Sunday, June 16th), which is 70% sold out as of writing. TESTBED is an accessible indoor venue, with standing and seated tickets available. 18+ only.

Project House

Try Project House on Armley Road for a laid-back, unofficial fan zone experience. Expect a giant outdoor screen, DJs, and the team’s favourite street food vendors as you sit back and relax into a glorious summer of football. General admission tickets include a drink. Table bookings include two drinks per person. 14+ only.

For foodies…

Bundobust

Football’s cumin home at beloved Leeds indie Bundobust. Watch all the England matches while enjoying a limited-edition menu inspired by iconic football ground food. Order the Vindaloo Pie, created as part of a ‘cheeky 1-2’ with Great Northern Pie Co, alongside Bundobust’s Rick Stein-approved Raghda Pethis, a mushy pea fusion dish. You’ll elevate your Euros experience come win, lose or draw.

Limited-edition drinks launches and merch courtesy of a Bundo partnership with AcidFC will also be on sale. Of all the bookings you’ll be disappointed with this summer, a table at Bundobust will not be one of them.

For families…

Thor’s Tipi Bar

Thor’s Tipi Bar in Leeds City Square is a fun venue for family––and dog-friendly Euros viewing. A big screen, outdoor games, street vendors, and free S’Mores by the fire pit ahead of Poland vs Netherlands on Sunday, June 16th, make for a laid-back Euros experience with no reservation required. Just be aware that Thors will not be showing England matches.

Beck and Call

Get up close to play at Beck and Call, Meanwood. The venue will show all England matches on a giant 20-foot screen in the garden. Beck and Call has several zones and an outdoor bar at the ready, including a family-friendly zone for under-18s. Check out their VIP packages to bag the best seats in the house with pizzas, fries, and bottles to your table.

Best of the bars…

Headrow House

At Headrow House, it’s a Euros takeover. England games will dominate the entire venue: in the beer hall, on a big screen in the event space and on both terraces. It’s free entry but on a first-come, first-served basis. Get there well before kick-off to secure your spot–or try Belgrave Music Hall or Water Lane Boat House if you miss out.

BOX

Get up-to-the-minute coverage live from Germany at BOX, Leeds City Centre, the ultimate sports bar and kitchen. Just a 2-minute walk from Leeds train station, BOX has 21 HD screens and a mouth-watering menu of gourmet burgers, pizzas, sharing plates, cocktails and ice-cold beers. BOX Headingley is in on the Euros action, too.

Other favourite bar and pub venues taking bookings for football, food and drinks are:

Roxy Ballrooms, Walkabout, The Scarborough Hotel, The Adelphi, The Pack Horse, The Hyde Park Hotel and The Dry Dock, as well as Headingley venues, The Headingley Taps, Skyrack, and The Original Oak and The Palace, Kirkgate. Our advice? Get in quick before it all kicks off…
