The City Centre

Leeds, UK

I love everything about the city centre. The size of it is cool - you can walk from one side to another in half an hour and experience so much of it. For shopping, I love Trinity because it’s easy and all under one roof. I enjoy Victoria Gate as well - along with the Victoria Quarter - they’re brilliant.

Food and Drink

Chow Down, Holbeck, Leeds, UK

It’s the food and drink I love most about Leeds. The danger for me is walking from the office to home without stopping for food or drink! I went to the food festival Chow Down for my birthday last year, which was wicked. It feels like a new bar or restaurant opens on the Leeds scene every week. My favourite is probably Iberica for Spanish food. I also like a little Italian called Viva - which is an independent on lower Briggate. My favourite bar is Wapentake - it’s like a Yorkshire pub in the middle of the city - and I really like Rolands too.
There are so many independents t o enjoy - coffee shops like Cha Lounge, Mrs Atha’s, Kapow and Laynes - it’s some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. I went into Laynes the other day, and the owner of Kapow was in there getting a coffee. That’s what we do. We support each other, and we want the best for each other because it’s the best thing for the city.
