“We’ve had a complete rearrange of the shop so that people can distance nicely, but also to make it fun. We don’t want people to feel scared when they come in, we want them to laugh and chat like they did before.”

“We’ve seen customers that haven’t been i nto the city centre for the l ast three months. So i t’s about reassuring those customers. We are here to make them feel comfortable i n our store.”

David Maddison chats to Larry Budd as they open the doors for the first time.

“It’s not the end, but it’s the start of the end. I think people can feel that there’s some positivity. They can get out of their homes and meet their friends a little bit. So you can feel the positivity coming through.”

Larry Budd explores Leeds city centre on 15th June as retail opens once again.
